Eagle Pass Mission Teams Return
Over the last 2 weeks, 33 SJV Volunteers participated in 2 mission trips to Eagle Pass, Texas (on the border of Mexico). Both Mission Teams completed a great deal of work. They repaired a total of 7 homes. They re-roofed the house of a widow taking care of an elderly parent. For a disabled mother with a mentally handicapped child, they put railing around their deck making it much safer for them to go outside. They installed new doors and windows for an elderly couple.
Called to Pilgrimage…
Over 40 pilgrims were blessed to make the Holy Land trip to Israel this October. Tours and accommodations were organized by Catholic Travel Centre, while spiritual direction was provided by Fr. Troy and overall happiness was coordinated by Carolyn Greene. This amazing trip started with a day along the Mediterranean coast, visiting Caesarea Maritime, Haifa and Mt. Carmel, and Akko. What beautiful vistas and interesting history!
