James is one of the most practical books of the Bible. Like the book of Proverbs, it is a book of wisdom, a collection of teachings on issues faced by ordinary Christians in everyday life. These teachings speak loudly to all those who feel torn between the competing demands of this world and their faith. This study offers “pearls for wise living” by applying the wisdom of James to the present day. For anyone who has struggled to live a truly Christian life, James offers a wealth of practical solutions for handling and even sanctifying everyday circumstances. An 11 week study on Wednesday evening (6:30pm-8:30pm) beginning November 13.
As the Good Shepherd, Jesus seeks us. He comes to meet us and beckons us to follow him. He calls us to be his disciples, to trust him, to open ourselves to his merciful love, and to love others as he has loved us. Follow Me invites you to experience the joy of a renewed friendship with Jesus.

This study explores the life and mission of Jesus. Matthew demonstrates how the promises and prophecies of the Old Testament are fulfilled in Jesus, who inaugurates the Kingdom of God on earth. Participants learn how people came to realize that Jesus was the long awaited Messiah who relives the life and struggles of Israel to become the faithful and victorious King. Set in the rich context of Jesus’ Jewish culture, this study helps participants understand and appreciate Judaism as part of our heritage.
This Ascension Press 24-week study, on Wednesday evenings, begins Sept. 11.
This study reveals how Christ’s Kingdom on earth is empowered to carry on his work in the world. Acts reveals the Church, enlivened by the Holy Spirit, teaching, preaching, healing, and restoring the marginalized in the same way that Jesus did. The Book of Acts provides a historic framework for understanding the rest of the New Testament. Paul’s Letters, in particular, come alive in a new way when they are read within the context of the Acts narrative.
This Ascension Press 20-week study, held on Wednesday evenings, begins Sept 11.
Paul’s letter to the Galatians speaks directly to the heart of Christians and addresses the most important question we can ask: “What must I do to be saved?” This fascinating letter reveals the merciful love God the Father has for us. It speaks of the extraordinary gift of salvation that Jesus has won for us and explains how we can unite ourselves to Christ’s redeeming sacrifice through faith and love.
This Ascension Press 8-week study, on Wednesday mornings, begins on Sept. 11.
Where do we find the Mass in the Bible? What is the relationship between the two? This study answers these questions and more. Discover how liturgy is a major theme that runs through the entire Bible, from Genesis to the Book of Revelation. A look at the Law, the Prophets, the early Church Fathers, and the life and teachings of Jesus, enhances our understanding of the Mass.

Bishop Robert Barron explores the seven deadly sins, those great spiritual blocks that inhibit our flourishing in relationship with God and one another. This study shows us how to counteract these sinful patterns through a conscious process of opposition, known as the “seven lively virtues” which offer antidotes to each sin and help set us on the right path to healing and happiness.
This Tuesday morning 8-week study from Word on Fire Begins Nov. 12.
This study reviews the basic teachings of the Church as to their meaning and origin and goes further. It investigates the deeper mystery of the sacraments as illuminated by Sacred Scripture. Examining the rich relationship between the Old and New Testaments, this study reveals the Sacraments as more than mere earthly rituals. They are incredible “powers that come forth’ from the Body of Christ” (CCC 1116).
This Tuesday morning 11 week study from St. Paul Center begins Feb. 4, 2025.
As Christians, we want to know our family tree, our history. We want to know who has gone before us, where they came from, and why they believed. In this study participants learn who the Church Fathers were, how they shaped the way we read the Scripture, and realize the powerful effect Scripture had on the developing Church. For the early Church Fathers, reading God’s word was no academic pursuit. Their love for God and his word transformed their lives—just as it has the power to transform ours today.
This 12-week, Monday morning women’s study, from St. Paul Center, will be offered on Monday mornings beginning Feb. 10, 2025
