Faith and Science – A Guide to Family Tech Use

Sunday, February 16th | 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM | Activity Center

Junior high and high school students love their devices – but are they spending too much time on them, and not enough time on more important things? Teens and their parents are invited to Faith and Science – A Guide to Family Tech Use, presented by Dean Kovacs, Director of School Engagement at Smart Families. Come and learn new strategies to shift your family away from tech and towards what really matters.

We are pleased to welcome Dean Kovacs, who made Texas his home in 2019, and currently serves as the Director of School Engagement for Smart Families. He holds bachelor’s degrees in environmental science, Theology, and Catechetics. While serving in various ministries throughout the years, he has witnessed the negative effects of smart phones and social media on adolescent development and family dynamics. As the Director of School Engagement, Dean works directly with schools, churches, and families to help educate about the dangers of manipulative technology and empower them to protect their values and family life.
