We are excited to welcome Enrique Contreras y Martínez, M.Div BCC as our guest speaker for this event. Enrique currently serves as the Director of Mission Integration and Spiritual Care at St. Luke’s Health in The Woodlands. He graduated from the University of Dallas with a BA in Philosophy and Letters and obtained his Masters in Divinity from the University of St. Thomas at St. Mary’s Seminary.

He is a board-certified chaplain with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains and an adjunct professor of ethics and Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary. Prior to taking on the direction of Mission and Spiritual Care, he served as staff chaplain at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, where he did his residency in Clinical Pastoral Education in 2003-2005. He continued his ministry a Texas Children’s Hospital, and in 2018 came back to St. Luke’s to join the Spiritual Care Team. In support of the Catholic Chaplain Corp, he is an active speaker throughout the archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, offering formation to pastoral visitors and spiritual care volunteers.
